President Emmanuel Macron visited Vietnam from May 25 to 27, 2025 for a state visit devoted to strengthening economic, technological and academic cooperation between France and Vietnam.
In Hanoi, a highlight was organized on the campus of the University of Science and Technology of Vietnam (USTH), focusing on youth and innovation. Sixty students from Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) and Hanoi Polytechnic Institute (HUST), part of the Programme de Formation d’Ingénieurs d’Excellence au Vietnam (PFIEV), were honored.
Wearing the PFIEV colors, they attended the President’s speech in the USTH amphitheater. Two female students were selected to put questions to the Head of State, testifying to the quality of their training and their commitment to the French-speaking world of science and to parity in engineering careers.
