On June 13, 2025, the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) played host to two major events in the life of the PFIEV: the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Pontech company, and theopening of the exhibition of graduation projects by students in the K65 class.
This symbolic day marks a new stage in the development of the “school-company” training model promoted by the PFIEV, strengthening links between academia, companies and students.
A partnership to train engineers of excellence
At the ceremony, Pontech reaffirmed its commitment to the long-term support of HUCE and the PFIEV program through :
- training highly qualified engineers, adapted to the realities of the field;
- cooperation in applied research and technical innovation ;
- recruiting and supporting young talent from the PFIEV.
On this occasion, Pontech awarded scholarships worth a total of VND 200 million to students selected for their academic excellence: the winners at the start of the program as well as the top-ranked graduates in the four civil engineering specialties. An initiative hailed as a powerful incentive to commitment and perseverance.
A showcase for students’ technical skills and creativity
In parallel with the signing ceremony, HUCE inaugurated an exhibition of final-year projects by PFIEV students in the Civil Engineering department. These projects focus on major themes:
- transport infrastructure,
- urban engineering,
- hydraulic structures,
- building materials.
Completed at the end of the course, these projects reflect not only the students’ mastery of scientific and technical knowledge, but also their ability to analyze complex issues, propose realistic solutions and innovate in a spirit of sustainability – in keeping with the values espoused by PFIEV.
A stronger school-business cooperation model
The event was attended by representatives of the French partner schools, experts from the business world, teachers and public officials. It is fully in line with HUCE’s strategy of consolidating synergies between training, research and professionalization, and promoting the PFIEV as a model of integrated, internationally-oriented engineering training.
