Consolidating Franco-Vietnamese cooperation to promote engineering excellence
The Conseil National de Perfectionnement (CNP) of the Programme de Formation des Ingénieurs d’Excellence au Vietnam (PFIEV) was held at the end of November 2025 in Da Nang. It brought together the Vietnamese partner institutions, the French consortium and representatives of the French institutions supporting the program.
This 2025 edition takes place in a particularly buoyant context, marked by the France-Vietnam Year of Innovation, offering increased visibility to academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.

Key points discussed at CNP 2025
Recruitment and attractiveness
The partners have praised the high academic quality of the new cohorts, the stability of the intake and the effectiveness of the selection process. Local communication and the role played by alumni contribute significantly to the program’s attractiveness to top students.
Professional integration and follow-up of graduates
Employability results confirm the relevance of PFIEV training. A consensus has emerged on the need to :
- structure a follow-up of graduates at 6 months and 3 years,
- enhance the value of career paths for families, companies and institutional partners.
Industrial partnerships
In 2025, we strengthened our ties with industry, particularly in the following areas:
- infrastructure and transport,
- energy,
- and software engineering.
Partner companies are increasingly involved in hosting interns, end-of-study projects and mentoring schemes.
Academic mobility and scholarships
The Vietnam-France and France-Vietnam mobility programs continue to gain momentum:
- increase in the number of end-of-study projects carried out in France ;
- increasing number of double degrees and doctorates;
- excellent success rates for French and European scholarships.
Foreign languages
Strengthening French and English remains a major strategic challenge for academic success, international mobility and professional integration. The partners have confirmed this priority for the 2026-2027 period.
Communication and international outreach
The year 2025 marked an important milestone for the visibility of the PFIEV, with :
- institutional events organized with the support of the French Embassy and consulates;
- actions targeted at alumni ;
- a stronger presence on digital channels.
Following CNP 2025, it was decided that :
- The France-Vietnam Year of Innovation and the PFIEV will be working on joint communications where appropriate;
- videos of alumni, graduation projects and option presentations will gradually be relayed by program partners.
2026 outlook
The Conseil National de Perfectionnement 2025 confirms a shared ambition:
to consolidate PFIEV as a benchmark program in Asia for the training of top-level engineers, backed by sustainable, innovative and internationally visible Franco-Vietnamese academic cooperation.
The Vietnamese and French partners look forward to continuing and expanding this dynamic in 2026, to the benefit of students, institutions and the scientific and technological development of Vietnam.
