ENPC launches the 3ᵉ and final wave of MISCEA theses

The Research Department of the École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC) is pleased to announce the launch of the third and final wave of thesis proposals under the MISCEA(Modelling and Interdisciplinary Science for the Ecological trAnsition) program. This doctoral program is co-financed by the European Commission via the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA-COFUND).

Program objective

MISCEA aims to set up a network of 18 doctoral contracts, addressing the major issues linked to ecological, energy and digital transitions. The initiative is based on cooperation between all ENPC laboratories, guaranteeing an interdisciplinary approach mobilizing the best scientific expertise.

Proposed themes – Wave 3

The thesis topics included in this new wave are available on the EURAXESS platform, with the titles below:

  • ESR18Low-carbon cooling systems in African countries (CIRED)
  • ESR19A data-driven machine learning approach for decision-making in the context of abandoned underground mines (Navier)
  • ESR20Creep of low-carbon concretes: experimental study and modelling (Navier)
  • ESR21Sustainable geotechnical foundations for energy transition: design of reused foundations and foundations for light structures (Navier)
