Bach Khoa Innovation 2026: an international innovation competition

From March to August 2026, the French Embassy in Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic Institute (HCMUT – VNU-HCM) are co-organizing the new edition of Bach Khoa Innovation (BKI) 2026, a major scientific and entrepreneurial competition bringing together some 250 Vietnamese and international student teams and start-ups.

Throughout the program, teams will benefit from intensive support: training sessions, mentoring by academic and industrial experts, site visits, masterclasses, followed by a grand final in Ho Chi Minh City before an international jury. The aim: to transform innovative ideas into concrete projects and encourage the emergence of future technology start-ups.

This makes BKI a unique platform for university-business collaboration, connecting students, teacher-researchers and socio-economic players around real innovation challenges.

Establishments and organizations in the PFIEV network can get involved at various levels: proposing challenges, accompanying teams, taking part in juries, supporting mentoring activities or promoting their expertise.

Interested organisations are invited to register their interest using the dedicated form:

The PFIEV strongly encourages its academic and industrial partners to join this initiative, which helps to raise the profile of French engineering training in Vietnam, support student entrepreneurship and develop lasting cooperation with the local innovation ecosystem.
