Hanoi, July 8, 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n

On July 8, 2026, the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) hosted the opening ceremony for the thesis defenses and the exhibition of final-year projects by engineering students in the Class of K66 of the Program for Training Engineers of Excellence in Vietnam (PFIEV), as well as the signing of a cooperation agreement between HUCE and the Architecture and Construction Joint Stock Company (STC).<\/p>\n\n

The event was attended by Ms. Marine Bruder, a representative of the French Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Thibaut Skrzypek, an expert from the \u00c9cole nationale des ponts et chauss\u00e9es (ENPC) and spokesperson for the French PFIEV consortium; Ms. Chantal Berdier, an expert from INSA Lyon, and Mr. \u0110\u00e0o V\u0103n L\u00e2m, chairman of the board of directors of STC, alongside representatives from companies, faculty members, and students in the PFIEV program.<\/p>\n\n

The exhibition showcases projects representative of the four specializations of the PFIEV program at HUCE. The works on display reflect the students\u2019 journey of learning, research, and creativity, as well as their ability to apply their skills to solve real-world problems in the construction industry. <\/p>\n\n

On this occasion, HUCE and STC officially signed a cooperation agreement formalizing a long-term strategic partnership aimed at strengthening ties between the university and the business world. The two parties will collaborate on knowledge exchange, resource sharing, and the creation of a research and hands-on learning environment for students, while supporting career guidance, employment, and the development of high-level human resources for Vietnam\u2019s construction sector. In particular, STC has committed to providing 175 million VN\u0110 in scholarships for PFIEV students to encourage those who stand out for their academic excellence and research work. <\/p>\n\n

Following the ceremony, the thesis defense panels for the final projects of the second session of the 2025\u20132026 academic year began their work. Alongside the university\u2019s own panels, a joint Franco-Vietnamese panel comprising experts from ENPC and INSA Lyon took part in the defenses. The participation of international experts helps ensure that the program meets the international standards that are the hallmark of the PFIEV. <\/p>\n\n

This event once again highlights the vitality of Franco-Vietnamese cooperation fostered by the PFIEV: a rigorous engineering program backed by a consortium of French grandes \u00e9coles and closely aligned with the needs of businesses and Vietnam\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n
