Consolidating Franco-Vietnamese cooperation to promote engineering excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Conseil National de Perfectionnement (CNP) of the Programme de Formation des Ing\u00e9nieurs d’Excellence au Vietnam (PFIEV)<\/strong> was held at the end of November 2025 in Da Nang. It brought together the Vietnamese partner institutions, the French consortium and representatives of the French institutions supporting the program. <\/p>\n\n

This 2025 edition takes place in a particularly buoyant context, marked by the France-Vietnam Year of Innovation<\/strong>, offering increased visibility to academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n

PFIEV key figures (academic year 2024-2025)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

  • 4 Vietnamese partner institutions<\/strong>:Hanoi Polytechnic Institute (HUST),Hanoi School of Civil Engineering (HUCE),Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic Institute (HCMUT),Da Nang Polytechnic Institute (UD-DUT).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Over 500 students<\/strong> currently enrolled in the PFIEV program (preparatory and engineering cycles combined).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Student mobility<\/strong>:\n
      \n
    • dozens of exchanges to France every year (exchanges, end-of-study projects, double degrees);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • diversification of destinations, including outside the French consortium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n

          Key points discussed at CNP 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

          Recruitment and attractiveness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

          The partners have praised the high academic quality of the new cohorts<\/strong>, the stability of the intake and the effectiveness of the selection process. Local communication and the role played by alumni contribute significantly to the program’s attractiveness to top students. <\/p>\n\n

          Professional integration and follow-up of graduates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

          Employability results confirm the relevance of PFIEV training<\/strong>. A consensus has emerged on the need to : <\/p>\n\n

            \n
          • structure a follow-up of graduates at 6 months and 3 years<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • enhance the value of career paths for families, companies and institutional partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

            Industrial partnerships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

            In 2025, we strengthened our ties with industry<\/strong>, particularly in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n

              \n
            • infrastructure and transport,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • energy,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • and software engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

              Partner companies are increasingly involved in hosting interns, end-of-study projects and mentoring schemes.<\/p>\n\n

              Academic mobility and scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

              The Vietnam-France and France-Vietnam mobility programs continue to gain momentum:<\/p>\n\n

                \n
              • increase in the number of end-of-study projects carried out in France ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • increasing number of double degrees and doctorates;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • excellent success rates for French and European scholarships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

                Foreign languages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

                Strengthening French and English<\/strong> remains a major strategic challenge for academic success, international mobility and professional integration. The partners have confirmed this priority for the 2026-2027 period. <\/p>\n\n

                \n\n

                Communication and international outreach<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

                The year 2025 marked an important milestone for the visibility of the PFIEV, with :<\/p>\n\n

                  \n
                • institutional events organized with the support of the French Embassy and consulates;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • actions targeted at alumni ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • a stronger presence on digital channels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

                  Following CNP 2025, it was decided that :<\/p>\n\n

                    \n
                  • The France-Vietnam Year of Innovation<\/strong> and the PFIEV will be working on joint communications where appropriate;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • videos of alumni, graduation projects and option presentations<\/strong> will gradually be relayed by program partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
                    \n\n

                    2026 outlook<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

                    The Conseil National de Perfectionnement 2025<\/strong> confirms a shared ambition:to consolidate PFIEV as a benchmark program in Asia for the training of top-level engineers<\/strong>, backed by sustainable, innovative and internationally visible Franco-Vietnamese academic cooperation.<\/p>\n\n

                    The Vietnamese and French partners look forward to continuing and expanding this dynamic in 2026, to the benefit of students, institutions and the scientific and technological development of Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n
